Distribution & Construction Logistics
Our distribution scheduling program DISC is able to take account of the rules and constraints which apply to the distribution and transport of building materials (e.g. tight delivery windows, complex load building constraints, vehicle and driver constraints, routing and access rules, multiple distribution centres and complex shift patterns). DISC can automatically create optimized and feasible transport/distribution schedules based on real-time information about customer orders and availability of resources. Dynamic re-optimization of the transport operation is provided by our dispatch software system REACT, which includes real-time vehicle tracking and automatic re-scheduling based on the latest information about vehicles and orders. DISC and REACT provide an integrated transport & logistics optimization solution which can dynamically plan and schedule the operation and provide visibility and control across the whole network.
Construction Manufacturing Planning
MJC˛'s production scheduling and manufacturing planning system PIMSS automatically generates factory schedules based on anticipated demand, availability/capacity of production lines and inventory constraints. Our production planning software can be used for operational scheduling of factories or for longer term capacity and strategic-level planning. Integration with our demand planning and stock control systems provides forecasting, demand planning, inventory control and replenishment optimization, taking account of both manufacturing and transportation constraints to optimize inventory levels and production orders along the supply chain. Our lean manufacturing systems are very flexible and are well-suited to the challenges of planning the production of building materials (e.g. seasonal trends, variable demand, short lead-times, complex processing, etc.).
Staff Rostering & Mobile Workforce Optimization
Rostering, shift planning, job allocation and staff scheduling are provided by our workforce optimization solution ROCS and our field service scheduling system MOBi. ROCS can automatically create rosters and shift patterns, and can be used for optimizing the planning of factory staff, drivers and sales/admin personnel. Real-time scheduling of mobile workforces (e.g. drivers, engineers, field sales staff, etc.) is provided by MOBi, which includes not only dynamic rescheduling of job assignments but also mobile data capture and real-time communication/tracking capabilities. Our staff scheduling solutions are designed for planning and optimizing very large, distributed workforces on a strategic and dynamic basis.
