MJC2 offers a portfolio of products and systems which are tailored to the needs of the petroleum products sector. We offer a range of software solutions which address the optimisation of supply and distribution from terminals, production sites and storage facilities to customers and retail outlets. The development of advanced algorithms in conjunction with user-friendly graphical interfaces has allowed us to implement our systems in many sites where speed of scheduling and ease of use are paramount. Our systems are designed to optimise the performance of the operation in terms of customer service, resource utilisation, distribution costs, storage costs and inventory management. Distribution Our distribution scheduling toolset (DISC) allows complex, multi-depot (or multi-terminal) operations to be modelled accurately and quickly, while integration with our inventory control system (e-Stock) enables stocks to be managed and optimised along the supply chain from source right through to customer or retail outlet. Daily allocation of orders and volumes to terminals based on price and distribution costs can be modelled and optimised with our SLIM toolset. In a highly dynamic environment, in which the demands on the distribution process change on a minute-by-minute basis, it is vital for the operation to have the ability to react quickly to events such as last minute customer orders, cancellations and breakdowns. Integration with our dynamic routing & scheduling software REACT suite allows dynamic replanning at high speed based on information such as current vehicle positions (from GPS or other vehicle tracking systems) or current order status. Manufacturing MJC2's PIMSS toolset allows complex production and packing/bottling lines to be scheduled and optimised. Focusing on balancing stocking levels against customer orders and projected demands, it allows the smoothing and optimisation of production capacities and labour profiles while improving service levels and order fulfillment. PIMSS provides manufacturing scheduling, capacity planning and real-time production planning capabilities. Strategic Planning MJC2's toolsets may be used for strategic level planning and optimisation of manufacturing and distribution operations. SLIM may be used to balance sourcing profiles and resource allocation to terminals and depots, or to assist with negotiation of contracts with suppliers and hauliers. SLIM includes pricing strategy tools which can model the behaviour of competitors to determine local and global pricing policy for petrol stations or retail outlets, and may be used to make long-term planning decisions such as the location and capacity of manufacturing sites and depots.
