ePIcenter
AI & Synchromodal Logistics
ePIcenter is major technology-driven initiative to massively improve the efficiency of logistics operations while reducing congestion in ports and terminals.
ePIcenter includes many technologies: synchromodal logistics algorithms, artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, dynamic modularisation and cybersecure data sharing platforms. ePIcenter also has an eye on the future, with technologies such as Hyperloop and the Physical Internet also considered.
Integrated Network Optimization
MJC² is leading the development of synchromodal logistics algorithms, which optimize freight flows, hub/transport connectivity and multimodal transport.
MJC²'s leading edge logistics optimization solutions have been proven in many major distribution and supply chain networks over the years, ranging from parcels to container logistics to consumer goods to bulk liquids/powders.
In ePIcenter MJC² will apply innovative AI-based algorithms to complex national and international logistics operations, including routing, hub/terminal optimization, queue reduction and resource utilisation.
These new algorithms will also accelerate progress towards the Physical Internet concept.
Global Supply Chain Optimization
The collaborative project is led by Port of Antwerp and involves 36 organisations in Europe, Asia, North America and South America, including many global logistics and supply chain enterprises.
ePIcenter will develop solutions for international trade operations between Europe, North America and Asia, as well as regional and last-mile operations. The AI-based optimization algorithms will tackle ocean, rail and truck movements, including electric vehicles and last-mile delivery planning.
